Cookie Policy
Last updated 21 June 2026
We keep cookies to a minimum. This page explains the few we use and how you control them, under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR.
Strictly necessary — always on
These are required for the service to work, so they don't need consent:
- ceidwad_session — a secure, httpOnly cookie that keeps you signed in to the app. It holds no marketing data and expires when your session ends.
- Your cookie choice — when you accept or decline non-essential cookies we remember that preference (stored in your browser) so we don't ask again.
Analytics — only with your consent
The public Ceidwad website currently runs no analytics or advertising cookies. Our companion Incident Response Planner uses a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool (no personal data, no cross-site tracking). If we add any non-essential analytics in future, they will load only after you accept via the cookie banner, and you can change your mind at any time.
What we never use
- No advertising or re-targeting cookies.
- No selling of data to third parties.
- No cross-site tracking of pupils or staff.
Managing cookies
Use the cookie banner to accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings — note that blocking the strictly-necessary cookie will stop you signing in. Clearing your browser storage will reset your saved cookie choice, and we'll ask again on your next visit.
Changes
If our use of cookies changes, we'll update this page and the banner, and post the new date above.
